Agar Fruit Jelly
This makes a jelly with a soft, wobbly consistency. Using agar agar instead of gelatin makes this recipe suitable for vegans.
Preparation time: 3 minutes
Setting time: at least 4 hours
Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 litres (3.2 pints) fruit juice
- 5 heaped tablespoons agar agar
Method
Put 2 cups of the juice into a saucepan with the agar agar.
Boil for 5 minutes until the agar agar is dissolved.
Take the saucepan off the heat and add in the rest of the juice.
Pour the mixture into a dish and leave to cool and set, at least four hours. Refrigerate it overnight if possible.
