Carrots in Honey and Garlic

The natural sweetness of carrots is enhanced with honey, while the garlic adds a touch of fire.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 carrots
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt and freshly-ground black pepper to taste

Method

  • Chop the carrots either into thin rings or small sticks.

  • Crush the garlic and put it in a pan with the honey, pepper and salt.

  • Heat this mixture on the stove for 2-3 minutes, until the honey is liquid and the garlic cooked.

  • Toss in the carrots and heat through. Be careful not to overcook them.

  • Serve on rice or couscous with the honey and garlic sauce poured over the top.
