Gingered Broccoli
Add spice to your broccoli. Ginger is a digestive tonic (among other things), and broccoli is a good source of vitamin C, bioflavonoids and indoles (anticarcinogenic compounds).

Recipe
Ingredients
- 250 grams (8 ounces) broccoli
- 4 thin slices fresh ginger root
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon tamari
- 1/4 cup boiling water
Method
Cut the broccoli into small flowerets
Cut the ginger slices into small matchsticks
Put the ginger in a pan with the honey and tamari and cook on the stove on high heat for for two minutes.
Put in the broccoli and cook for a further 3 minutes.
Pour in the water.
Cover the pot and simmer for a few minutes more until cooked.
