Honey Halva
A refined-sugar-free version of the traditional Arabic sweet.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Refrigeration time: at least an hour
Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- 3 tablespoons tahini
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons wheatgerm (must be fresh and sweet tasting, otherwise it is better to use another thickening agent, such as cornflour)
Method
Grind the sunflower seeds finely.
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together.
Put the mixture into a dish, pressing it down firmly.
Refrigerate until it is set, at least an hour.
