Honey Halva

A refined-sugar-free version of the traditional Arabic sweet.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Refrigeration time: at least an hour



Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons sunflower seeds
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons wheatgerm (must be fresh and sweet tasting, otherwise it is better to use another thickening agent, such as cornflour)

Method

  • Grind the sunflower seeds finely.

  • Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together.

  • Put the mixture into a dish, pressing it down firmly.

  • Refrigerate until it is set, at least an hour.
