Muffins
A wholesome muffin recipe with no added fat or oil.

Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup raisins or chopped dates
- 1 grated apple
- 1 cup (125 grams / 4 ounces) wholemeal flour
- 1 cup (125 grams / 4 ounces) wheatgerm
- 1 cup (125 grams / 4 ounces) bran
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup water or milk
- 1/2 cup golden syrup or honey
Method
Preheat the oven to 160�C (325�F).
Put the honey or golden syrup into a pot with the water and heat it till it is dissolved.
Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Add the liquid to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Spoon the mixture into non-stick muffin tins and bake in the oven for 20 - 30 minutes.
