Refried Bean Dip
This Mexican style dip is a tasty protein snack.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Warming time: 5 minutes
Recipe
Ingredients
- 450 grams (1 pound) cooked kidney beans, fresh or canned
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 1 onion
- optional: a dash of chilli
Method
Chop the onion and put into a pan with a tablespoon of water.
Cook the onion on high heat for 3 - 4 minutes until soft, stirring and adding more water if needed.
Put the cooked onion into a food processor with all the other ingredients.
Blend till smooth.
Serve warm with avocado and corn chips or pita chips.
