Walnut Fetta Paté
This unusual appetiser is a lot less rich in fat than its taste suggests.

Setting time: at least 1 hour
Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup (200 grams / 7 ounces) fetta cheese
- 1 cup (125 grams / 4.5 ounces) walnuts
- 1/2 cup (125 ml / 4 fluid oz) skim milk
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- pinch cayenne
Method
Put all of the ingredients together in a food processor and blend them to a paste.
Put the mixture into a bowl and leave it to set. If you have the time to leave it for several hours or even overnight, you can then turn it out of the bowl and it will keep its shape.
If you do not have the time to let it set, leave it in the bowl, and serve as a dip.
This is delicious with bread or crackers, and raw vegetables such as celery and carrot sticks or apple wedges (sprinkled with lemon juice to prevent browning).
